Space and Fundamentality
Suppose that we take seriously empirical possibility that space is not a fundamental. What does this hypothesis mean? What sort of evidence might be expecting to see? Is there a kind of evidence that would favour such a possibility? Do we have such evidence? These are the questions that I will address in this talk.
I will propose a particular way of understanding the claim that space is not fundamental, and suggest that we see signs of its non-fundamentality in the most elementary and familiar quantum phenomena: complementarity and entanglement.
